Carbon Recycling Technology (CRT)
Sub-headline
Clean Energy and Water Technologies Pty Ltd (CEWT) is developing a first-of-a-kind Carbon Recycling Technology (CRT) that transforms captured CO₂ into renewable synthetic methane — enabling continuous, dispatchable, carbon-neutral power for industry, infrastructure, and heavy manufacturing.

Carbon Recycling Technology (CRT) is a closed-loop energy system that enables continuous, zero-emission energy by recycling carbon rather than emitting it.
How CRT Works (high level):
- Renewable electricity produces hydrogen
- Hydrogen reacts with captured CO₂ to form renewable synthetic methane
- The fuel is used for power and industrial energy
- CO₂ is recaptured and returned to the loop
Carbon acts as a recyclable carrier. Hydrogen supplies the energy. Fossil inputs are progressively eliminated.
Why CRT Matters:
- Delivers firm, dispatchable energy
- Avoids reliance on oversized batteries
- Uses proven industrial infrastructure
- Enables hard-to-abate industries, including green iron
What CRT Is Not:
- Not a fossil fuel system
- Not carbon storage
- Not intermittent generation
Status:
CRT is advancing toward commercial demonstration in Australia, aligning with national decarbonization and green industry objectives.
